Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
Master's Degree or equivalent in public health, social sciences, development planning, international relations or academic equivalent.
Experience:
- 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level especially related to HIV/AIDS issues
- Good knowledge of the issues of coordination of the national AIDS response.
- Broad experience in working with UN agencies at the country level, and especially with the UN RC system and/or the UN Theme Group on HIV/AIDS.
- Previous work experience with UNAIDS and/or the UN system in a similar capacity
- Ability to prepare strategic information for decision makers.
- Good knowledge in the use of computer applications. (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).
Language Requirements:
Fluency in the UN and national language of the duty station.
