Job Title: Tariff Administrator
Location: Lagos

Job Description:

•Maintain and update the MTNN Rate Control Documents and Rate Tables

•Ensure that all tariff plans, products and services are properly setup on the prepaid, post-paid and SMS rating systems
•Communicate any tariff and/or rate plan changes to the business and ensure rating systems are updated with these changes
•Analyse rates which have been setup on the rating systems to ensure they correspond with those on the rate control documents
•Ensure all documented and implemented rates are as approved by the Business
•Liaise with other departments on tariff issues
•Develop and update a tariff database for all MTNN roaming partners
•Monitor and ensure adherence to MTNN tariff strategy
•Benchmark competition and international operators tariff regimes
•Research and document useful competitive intelligence
•Prepare tariff reports to NCC, the Bankers and MTN Group as at when due
•Perform other ad hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Business Analyst
•Interface with Billing, Regulatory, Finance, IS and Network group to ensure that rates and rate changes are implemented within the required timeline. 
•Cultivate external and internal resources for authentic information on competitions’ tariffs
•Search the internet for operator tariff benchmarks
•Liaise constantly with Network Group on Roaming partner information

Job Requirements:
  • 1-2 years work experience in information processing, documentation and dissemination
  • First degree in Accounting, Economics, or any other related discipline

  • Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all financial dealings
  • Assist with preparation of the budget
  • Establish and maintain cash controls
  • Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements
  • Establish and maintain supplier accounts
  • Processes supplier invoices
  • Maintain the purchase order system
  • Issue cheques for all accounts due
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system
  • Assist with preparation of  income statements
  • Assist with Preparation of balance sheets
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Prepare quarterly reports and report on variances

  • Maintain financial files and records.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Part Qualification (ICAN /ACCA /CIMA).
  • Minimum of 2yrs working Experience from a reputable organisation.
  • Adequate knowledge of various accounting standards (local & international) relevant to scope of company operations.
  • Adequate knowledge of relevant statue, professional pronouncement and ethical standards to ensure compliance with relevant statutory provisions at all times.

Job Description:

  1. Send email to all employees to fill their timesheets (Fridays).
  2. Shall be responsible for locking of timesheet (Saturdays or Mondays).
  3. Shall be responsible for printing of timesheet report (latest Wednesday).
  4. To ensure all timesheet reports are approved by HODs and then file same (Weekly).
  5. Shall be responsible for creating new Project, CTRs and activity code in timetrax within 2days of receiving signed NPIS.
  6. Shall be responsible for creating new Project and CTRs in ACCPAC within 24hrs after running Job Cost.
  7. Shall be responsible for preparation of “Dump File” for job cost report within 24hrs after all timesheets approval.
  8. Running of Job Cost report within 2days following timesheet approvals .
  9. Shall be responsible for preparation of data for salary computations within 3days after cut-off.
  10. Shall be responsible for general monitoring of man-hours entered by all employees (when locking timesheets on Saturdays or Mondays) General timetrax administration i.e. correcting wrong pay IDs, CTRs, Activity Codes etc (weekly) 

Job Requirements:
  • Processing and posting of Payment vouchers in ACCPAC.
  • Filling timesheets for project people that are not in V/I offices (Weekly) 
  • Processing of Journal & General Ledger entries.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
  • HND / B.sc Accountancy
 TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS (What technical other skills are required for this position?):
